Thanks Chee! Yer could do, I wondered if there was anything out there that I could use rapidly, maybe paper-based in order to interact with other systems. I've got a couple of ideas but need to spend a little more time having a look what's out there. : ) Thanks for the reply - Is there a quick visual language that'll work with Arduino?
i am not aware of a visual language for Arduino, but it is relatively easy to learn. I guess paper-based solutions could be QR code attached to some physical objects?
Hello Alan, the Arduino comes supplied with an IDE and libraries which have been designed for ease of use and to support “non-programmers”, and within minutes of installing these you can be blinking LEDs and reading temperature sensors.

This ( http://www.phidgets.com ) building blocks for physical prototyping are very usefull, and they don´t have a high cost. We´ve been working with them for over a year and the results are quite good. The programming is as easy as you need or as complex as you want.
