Hi everybody,

I want to do some acute brain slice physiology and use omega-Agatoxin IVA to block P/Q-channels. Now I am wondering, if there is anything special to take in consideration. For example: I know that other peptide-toxins have a tendency to stick to tubing, and that this can/has to be prevented by precoating the tubing with albumin or using specific tubing material.

Solubility should not be a problem (at least according to all major drug vendors), but has anyone experienced funky stuff when having it in a buffer (e.g. aCSF) that required bubbling with gas?

Any pointers are welcome!

Thanks in advance.

PS: If you have something else in mind regarding presynaptic calcium channels that you think I should better know, just shoot.
