I was wondering if any research has been focused on the radiation of the Dendrobatidae into Panama and Costa Rica since the formation of the isthmus of Panama around 2.5-3 mya.
i only know one article that may discuss the phylogeographie of the dendrobatid and their speciation pattern for the Amazonia, but in that paper they stablish many hypothesis, one with the istmus

Much research has been done in Panama on the radiation of Dendrobatids. Just have a look at the internet and check papers by C.W. Myers (who discovered the radiation in Bocas del Toro), Myers and J. Daly, also check for Dendrobates pumilio and you will find a host of papers.
