I just joined. I am doing my PhD, in HCI, special interest is helping people in large scale ubicpomp environment by providing context and social awareness. I am excited to tell, currently I am building city scale ubicomp software that will exploit context and social awareness to help its user... !

Dealing with context and with the "social" is always challenging....
Will you take cultural issues into account?

Thanks for your interest. At this moment, I am afraid, no, we are not going to take cultural issues as a whole into account. It will require some more investigation, which is out of our scope at this moment. We have considered a part of it, which we have associated with personal ability or preference. For example, language preference or preference for mode of communication.
The system we are currently building is in it's early stage. That is why we kept the scope smaller so that we can manage it for now. We will love to broaden the scope in future.
Well, I also think it is up to date, and interesting. But, I must mention, ( and you probably know ) there are researchers who are solving different parts of it, namely context awareness, social awareness, help system and so fourth.
