Olama Abdul Latif Choudhury of Fultoli.
Many decades ago.
The late Olama Abdul Latif Choudhury of Fultoli, picked me up on his lap.
I often remembered this, because it is very unusual for such level of Scholar, the highly respected who has thousands of disciples, had picked me up to sit on his lap, people feel surprised about it. Because people respect them, and keep their hands straight downwards or manner gesture, for respect, and when one pick up child on lap the child moves hands and legs too.
Then they went to pay respect to my Uncle's grave.
About 71 war, it is wrong accusations against him of he supported Pakistani military in 1971s war against Bangladesh civilians, he was compeled to accommodate military team in his place, and he made suggestions to the military not to cause harm to public or to innocent people, he will cooperate in their search light mission.
Pakistani military were with weapons, applied force upon people.
Pakistani military deceived him and his group of people. After the war ended they were very disappointed about the abuses and killing has been taken place that they weren't aware of, he voluntarily gave to be arrested. For his honesty and his personality, Bangladesh police took him with respect and court with honour minimised his sentences, set him free.
My Late Uncle Olama Gulzar Ali was educated with him. They were down to earth genuine beings. Unlike nowadays hateful, hatemongering bad talking Preachers, they were respective of human. No wonder how they were respected, and those days Olamas' were well respected for being respect worthy and they maintained respect of Islam as such.
The Olama Abdul Latif offultoli, sent people to take me to the gatherings speech place, Eid-gah, and he there called me to him, picked me up, made to sat on his lap for few minutes, and made few jokes with me, (1) about my flowery hair cliff, and another about (2) said if you wee on me I have to wash up, in your house-washroom, which is about a mile away. Now I understand, he did that for his love, respect and care for my Olama uncle who passed away, I was Uncle's very dear one.
In islamic teaching it is said, to love and respect take care of the relatives and to the loved ones of ones dear late friends, late parents friends, and so forth on.
