You can use any type of thermally insulated container, although it will not be nearly as good as a LN2 dewar. Any capped thermally insulated thermos can be a quick solution, but again, I would buy a dedicated dewar designed for LN2 containment.
I also strongly recommend a dedicated dewar designed for liquid nitrogen. If you would like to have a temporary solution the major thing you need to be careful is the brittleness of the material due to the low temperature of the liquid nitrogen. C-Steel is not suitable. High criogenic toughness stainless Steel like AISI316L could be fine or Ni-alloy like Inconel6xx is excellent even if quite more expensive. BR. Simone
