Hello, stained bacterial cells with fish probes can be stored at −20 °C; however, long-term storage at −20 °C can affect the pretreatment conditions.

@ Karen A. Darbinyan thanks for your answer. I would like to know more about staining the bacterial cells first with fish probes and thereafter staining with propidium iodide and syto 9 (part of baclight kit), will probed cells still take on the stains mentioned.
