Most funding schemes are field- and region-specific. There are also many national funding bodies supporting local universities in research and development. But some countries have very limited budgets for research, limiting the success stories to a few well-established Scientists and Researchers. For early-stage academics, it is almost impossible to compete for those limited national funding schemes.
Could anyone recommend or disclose international funding schemes, especially those accepting applications from built environment researchers, including construction engineering and management??
Suggestions would be appreciated.
PS. I know most national fundings schemes allow for international collaborations for such grants.

Try to learn about the collaborative research projects between your country and international institutions or other foreign countries. This can help you to have an overview about the research fields available. If your find your research domain you can present your projects and pretend very easily for finding.

I would suggest you to get an insight regarding the sort of collaborative research projects and joint funded projects being conducted in your university/ lab/ industry and check whether they comply with yourn research goals. If such, then provide a formal request to get involved. Some of these examples are commonwelath funding, government funded scholarships etc.
Most funding comes from private sector and collaborated funding with government agencies. It is important to look in this direction.
Your link with other international research agencies collaborating with your country will resolved your question. Success to you
