My name is Marcello Franchini and I'm a Research Fellow at the University of Udine (Italy). I obtained the possibility to perform a PhD abroad but, in order to perform it, I need to search for scholarship funds. Please, can someone suggest me the name of some istitutions or similar which make available scholarship for PhD students? I'm searching on the net but I guess that it could be useful asking even to someone who is operating in this sector since long time. Many thanks to those one who will reply.

Its is not so easy if you have no excellent result and research background with publications in the reputed journals, mainly in USA, UK and Australia. If you have a good scope in GRE, IELTS, than you are lucky to have a catch up there. You can try for Germany , China & Japan ,there are language barriers you have to learn the language first.

It would depend on the field of study. If you are in the field of engineering many universities have funding for Research Associates while they are doing PhD. Many require good GRE scores and if you have prior publications that would only help.
