I consider Simulink to be a unique property of Matlab. However, I have been looking for similar functionality in Python. I found PySimilator as a good attempt but realized that this appeared to stop at Python 2.7. Later a PySimLib appeared to be an interface to OpenModelica. However, This is not similar to a self-standing module.
Are the any updates or proper suggestions to achieve similar functionality?

Perhaps you can try Xcos, which is a graphical editor included in Scilab to design hybrid dynamical systems models.
