Cast alloy CW6MC is with UNS number N26625.

I have already seen all the links provided by you but these are not very useful for my purpose…we want to design a casting of alloy625 (for fossil power plant valve) but all the properties that we are getting (from ASME section II) for UNS N26625 are for plats, bars, rods etc. We either want temperature varying allowable stress for CW6MC or temperature varying yield strength and creep rupture for CW6MC….we are not getting properties for CW6MC….what we are getting is properties of 625 in plats bar and rod form…which we feel can not be used in design of a casting….

As I mentioned in my original question…special metal data sheet (and data sheets of some other suppliers) are already available with us…Special metal data sheet gives a good length of information about this material but still properties for its cast form (CW6MC) are not available….

I will wait for some more responses…hope I will get some source and there will not be any need to generate the material property database from testing…we are also exploring the possibility  to use some  factor (like 0.8 or 0.9) over the available properties of rods/plates/bars to convert these properties for CW6MC. If someone has some information regarding it, please share.

As stated by Praniraj , the tensile properties for CW6MC can be found in ASTM A494.  Depending on the size of your valve body, a few issues with castability and segregation will need to be reviewed for the geometry of your design, especially with large valve bodies.  I assume that the valve bodies you are considering for your application are rather small, less than 5 inch bore.  Typically, for larger valve bodies (>5 inch bore) the valve body will be made from a low alloy steel and then internally cladded.  Depending on accessibility and equipment, valve bodies down to 2 inch bore have been successfully cladded with 625 filler metal on all surfaces.

Dear Deniel....thaks for sharing your vies....i have already gone through A494...not very much useful...I am looking for valves that will be used in power plant test loops and sizes will be very large (> 6-7 tons, around 300 mm ID)....our teams involve in manufacturing are taking care the respective issues and we are also planning to contact some international vendors regarding this....but as a designer my team is struggling to find material properties of CW6MC...

I suggest to look at Superalloys conference archive which is public online.

Most articles are about worked 625Alloy, but some are dealing cast 625Alloy properties. I attached one article I found.
