When comparing models Akaike information criterion (AIC), Schwarz Bayesian information criterion (BIC) or Deviance information criterion (DIC), which is the Bayesian generalization of AIC and BIC are used. AICw is found by calculating the AIC differences and then from that model likelihoods, which are normalized across the set of candidate models to sum to one. Hence, AICws are interpreted as probabilities and thus provides a relative weight of evidence for each model. I have not come across literature how the equivalent of AICw can be calculated for example from DIC. Your advice or literature will be highly appreciated.
