in transient modulus, I need to apply a loading and then evaluate responses.
from structural dynamics, we know free vibration has initial displacement and or velocity.
Unfortunately, the transient has just initial velocity!
maybe doing a pre-analysis to get initial deformation (real but not in stiffness matrics) or doing a pre-loading to have deformation.
Does anyone know how to apply a load from 0-1 sec such that that analysis goes on 1-10 sec like an initial loading?
this simulation is same as impulse loading which is solvable by the Duhamel method.

, it's a good idea, I gonna read the chapter.
I defined two steps in transient analysis. In this method, I applied displacement loading and deactivate it in 2nd step.
Easily I got free vibration with initial displacement.
This method of activate/deactivate is also usable way for impulsive load.
