I am looking for a free, online software that can be used for the analysis of T-RFLP data. I have come across T-REX, but this requires the upload of files exported from software that is not free. I am looking for software to which I can upload FSA files straight from the data collection software and generate tabulated electropherogram peak information which I can then use in something like T-REX for further labelling and analysis. Any ideas?
Tom, you might try Gelquest by Sequentix. They offer a free one-month software license. We were able to extend this as needed. We have used this program successfully for our T-RFLP data in the past.

You can try the Peak Scanner freeware (downloadable from the Life Technologies website), but from my experience a fully licensed Genemapper was much better.
