Does anyone know good FREE software for peak-calling (genotyping) of STR microsatellite markers (such as GeneMarker, OSIRIS, Geneious, etc ...) that runs in UNIX/Linux based system?
Hi Jaafar, thanks for your reply. But this is not exactly what I need. I need no check the peak calling of ".fsa" files, just like GeneMarker would do. Thanks anyway.
Just an update: I was able to install GeneMarker on Linux ubuntu by using Wine + PlayOnLinux. It's not ideal, but its a solution since there are no native programs for peak calling on Linux (besides Geneious, which is too expansive).
OSIRIS, which is free, would probably also work using Wine + PlayOnLinux (PC version) or if you ran a virtual macOS machine on linux (Mac version), although I have never tried either. Glad you found a solution, though!
