yes you can measure powder samples by XPS. We usually distribute the powder evenly on carbon tape. However, you should be careful with charging, as the carbon tapes are usually not conductive enough.
HI; Powdered materials cannot be analyzed by XPS because of the very high UHV pressure. You can, on the other hand, prepare a solid pellet with this powder; and so you can do the XPS.
Yes you can do it ..but special sample preparation is required to do so ...so the you can prevent the escape of powder particles...you can make palette and degas it before putting it in xps....just take help of technical person operating xps device.
Surely You can analyze your powder samples using XPS.
Either you can distribute your powder on carbon or copper tape, and also make sure that no powder is falling off the tape (use nitrogen or a hand blower to check the same).
Another way is to mix your powder with ethanol/methanol/IPA and then drop cast it to some conducting substrate. Then vacuum dry your coated film.
By far the tape method or pressing in to wells in an appropriate sample holder is the most simplest of ways
