I am trying to find the polarizability and hyperpolarizability using gaussian . Output that I got was given below in this massege , but i faced problem to identify the values of polarizability and hyperpolarizability tensors (αxx, αxy, αyy, αxz, αyz, αzz and βxxx, βxxy, βxyy, βyyy, βxxz, βxyz, βyyz, βxzz, βyzz, βzzz) obtained by a frequency job output file of Gaussian.
(Q1) Is Exact polarizability data is the αxx, αxy, αyy, αxz, αyz, αzz or Quadrupole moment (field-independent basis, Debye-Ang) data, if Quadrupole moment data , then the values I got was negative in number???
(Q2) For Hyperpolarizability which values should I consider ?
