The plot you show is from XRD (not particle size distribution, PSD) which will indicate the phases (ores and gangue materials) present.
Standard methods of obtaining PSD include sieves and (in the last 25 years) laser diffraction. The latter permits wet and dry analyses in the range 0.1 - 3000 microns (ISO 13320). See this basics primer:
Elemental analysis alone is not enough to make a decision. You also need to have a mineralogical analysis.
