For comet assay ( The single cell gel electrophoresis assay ) I am not sure for using LE instead of LM. Because I have LE, so I do not want to spend money If I could use LE. If you have ever done Comet assay with LE, please suggest me
the best choice is low melting agarose as its melting temperature within normal physiological conditions of the cell while normal melting one melting temperature is higher and so the incidence and probability of damage or denature to the nucleic materials and proteins (because of the higher temperature) increase so the results may be false positive
Indra Batjikh I agree with Ahmed Sosa , low melt agarose is ideal for preparative, however, we have used LE ( https://bit.ly/2lULOwK ) for Comet assays, and it has worked well. Depending on the brand you are using, it may or may not have compatible specs.
