NMR related. I am comparing the SNR of a HSQC experiment v.s a direct excitation of 183W. Obviously in a HSQC experiment we just use the gyromagnetic ratios of hydrogen, as hydrogen is both the excited nucleus and detected nucleus. But does this mean we should use the H or W abundance when making the SNR calculation?

In principle, if the R1 of the attached proton is not significantly changed then sensitivity is directly proportional to (gyromagnetic ratio)^5/2
