Hi All-
I am hoping someone can direct me to some related sources. I am researching Cannabis, and I have a feeling when seed production begins following pollination, the plant reallocates energy into producing seeds and ceases putting energy into the flower (including production of phytochemicals). I am having a heck of a time tracking down relevant literature, but I know someone on here knows something about this! Thanks in advance- Anna
In the trees I have studied, some continue to produce flowers during pollination and fruiting and others don't
I would expect all (most) plants to change energy allocation from flower production to seed production due to seed production being the 'goal' of flower production. Have a look at the following three publications and see if it might help your search, see:

That was my assumption until a fully seeded bud came out with the highest cannabinoid expression out of a dozen samples that were not pollinized. You would think that the plant would protect the next generation with continued trichome and secondary compounds. Perhaps under limited inputs things may turn our differently
