I would like to look ofr Flt3 and NPMI mutation in our patients with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. I was wondering if we could use peripheral blood sample for DNA or is it necessary to have bone marrow sample. Kindly suggest
In our lab, we determine Flt3 mutation in AML patients by classic PCR, on DNA extracted by mean of Qiamp DNA mini blood kit, either in bone marrow or in blood samples.
We don't performed NPM1 mutation determination actually in routine , and we have to validate it. But it could be the same.
