Mr. Rajnish Mishra, the time based incrmental load or displacement analysis can be performed for earthquake loading conditions..In ABAQUS dynamic analysis can be performed for fixed time interval i.e. frquency versus time curve can be generated for the given earthquake magnitude..literature is available for dynamic analysis using ABAQUs..i recommend you to read ABAQ US manual mainly for dynamic analysis ..ok all the best..
You can set a lower initial time increment, while setting a higher value for the maximum time increment. If you wish to have a fixed time increment, than you must assess what is the maximum value that does not have convergence issues.

I had this problem too. Actually I had a mistake in unit consistency. In concrete damage plasticity model, I used the unit of Mpa (N/mm2) for yield stress and for the rest of material properties I used Pascal (N/m2), So when I change it, my analysis runs smoothly. So focus on unit consistency
