Is there any special behaviour or welfare traits of great interest to study in tropical fish species?
Fish rearing in house and in large scale will meet up daily intake of fish in each house. Suppose you bring 10 live Anabus testudineus and keep live in an aquarium, it will help to meet up protein requirement in your body to repair cells. In large scale suppose in pond or jheel if u keep IMC and keep for one year you will get profit as well as new species will develop.

Thanks sir. I need your co-operation for freshwater pisciculture. Indian major carpare reared in small as well as in big pond. ( 40×20) ft. as well as with exotic carps. L.rohita, Catla catla & C. mrigala cultured with exotic variety like Hypopthalmicthes politics, Ctenopharyngodon ideals and Cyprinus carpio. Ecological niche enjoyed by them. Both Catla and Ctenopharyngodon are surface feeder, Labeo rohita with Hypoptthalmycthes molotrix and Cirrhinus mrigala with Cyprinus carpio.
Ratio will be 3:3;3.
Manju Das . Really appreciate your contribution, but what is the definition of your small pond for easier comparison? Then i feel comparison can be done using samples of the same ecological niche, though will like to hear your view about the raised points......
Small pond is rectangular. Area myst be 40"×30" . Entire area is in natural habitat. Upper strata is almost 2 ft. depth. Next strata is 4 ft. depth and the next strata is 2 ft. depth. Fish fingerlings 7 per square ft. area will be suitable to grow. It need maintenance with proper observation. Research personnel may stationed there.
Fish culture in a confined place require ample supply of fish additional food ( measured). Some fishes are herbivorous in nature .Some fishes are omnivorous in nature. Some fishes are detritus feeder. Most of the surface dweller fishes are herbivorous in nature. Column dwellers are omnivorous in nature. Whereas bottom dwellers are detritus feeder by nature. Ecological niche is occupied rationally. Time to time monitoring and supply of additional O2 will help to maintain fish health.Aerator you may place there. Thank u.
