You have specify two types of boundary conditions: (a) friction boundary conditions and (b) thermal boundary conditions. The idea about friction boundary condition can be obtained in two ways: (i) from pin-on-disc or ball-on-disc tribometry tests at a sliding speed that is comparable to your cutting speed with proper choice of materials of the disc and the ball and (ii) previously conducted orthogonal cutting test (and estimation of coefficient of friction at the chip tool interface via the measurement of cutting forces).
Thermal boundary condition would consist of specifying the effective convective boundary condition and the temperature of the MQL jet. There are a few articles, which have already reported experimental values for the same in a designed test rig.
