I'm hoping to elicit some feedback from this forum on a piece of research I'm about to undertake. My subject is related to mergers & acquisitions in the finance technology industry, typically referred to as the Fintech industry.
The Fintech industry has seen immense disruption in the last few years, both in the banking sector and investments industry. Most Fintech disruptors tend to be younger, smaller companies. However, there has been a spate of corporate activity in this industry, with bigger software providers acquiring many of the smaller firms.
I'm looking to undertake some research on how M&A has impacted the growth and innovation of these Fintech companies and if this is the best way to achieve growth.

Yeah, it can be a good research. You can focus on AI, Fintech, Blockchain, Digital Banking. You can add case studies in your research of mega bank mergers. But actually Fintech lure banks.
Hi Rakesh Pilli , sound really interesting. Maybe the case of wirecard could be also an really interesting research object. Would you like to add a regional topic, or do you think about M&A in Fintech area in general?
