I seem to remember that albumin is known to bind to cibracon blue, this should be an easy purification step if the only contamination is albumin. Just buy a Hi-Trap Blue column fromo GE or resin from sigma might be cheaper?
I agree with Trevor, start by purifying your prep on a protein G column (very easy to setup). An added washing step should be sufficient to eliminate any excessive contaminant. good luck
If you need a cheaper method than using a column, I recommend ammonium sulphate precipitation followed by purification by caprilic acid. If you are interested, contact me for details.
