COVID-19 has unleashed an unprecedented crisis, impacting all segments of the population, all sectors of the economy, and all areas of the world. It has also exposed growing inequalities in our societies, further exacerbating existing disparities within and among countries.
The new United Nations SDG report highlights how the pandemic is slowing progress on the global goals and reversing decades of progress on poverty, healthcare and education, leaving the most vulnerable further behind.

We were already aware of inequalities and disparities among countries. The present coronavirus pandemic have not only exposed the reality but shown that we are actually more/lesser than looks...
Disparity or inequity whatever you can say, but that is the hard reality and you can see it even in vaccination too.

This is a finding Muhammed Ashraful Alam and Emmanuel V Murray , which unfortunately had to be revealed with the COVID-19 crisis. Now it is very difficult to deny this reality because it has been shown across the planet how inequality has aggravated the problems Muhammad Ghafoor Ali . But now that everyone has become aware, what will human beings be able to do to reduce inequalities? When you have a vaccine, will everyone have the right to immunization, or just rich countries and developed nations? What will happen to people in situations of exclusion and vulnerability, will they be entitled to a vaccine?

The pandemic is roaring and the global crisis is increasing day by day. The inequity is more visible and pandemic has already created so many walls in globalization.
Unluckily, pandemic revers progress on poverty, healthcare and education, leaving the most vulnerable further behind.
However, I am confident that after the pandemic there will be stronger actions to improve healthcare etc. In one side for ethical reasons; on the other side because the richest countries should understand that virus kill everyone: poor and rich!
Equity is an unseen word in reality, just found in dictionary, dear Roberto Molteni and that is the hard reality.

Not be too pessimistic.
For example, in Europe the past century was awful (two world wars), but slowly we got peaceful.
Everyday, peace and democracy should be built, the same if we want to solve inequalities (even in European Union).
I just said about the reality. Equity, globalization etc. are words of dictionary. Not only among the countries, you can see the disparity withing the country and this disparity are more prominent in developed country like USA. We have to say the truth for making further plans otherwise all will be in dream only.
I agree, data show these inequalities. Solutions will take time and daily work.
However, sometimes it is good to say “I have a dream”, it gives us a vision for a better future.
