I am trying to get information about stacking fault and dislocation based on TEM image. In the attached figure, I process the image using FFT implemented in digital micrograph DM. Are the circled locations are evidence for SF and dislocation. I really will learn a lot from your comments.

I haven't seen any thing looks like stacking faults or dislocations of Volterra type. But some inclinations in the area located at the left upper cornes and the lover edge mid point as you marked by circles. Or these are might be all fake appearances due to some optical interferences?
What is the wave length of these wrinkles? What type of material are you using? First of all you must specify or characterize your material in used before you asked question, please.

The material is MgO powder, so What are the appropriate setting that I have to use in TEM to get a good figure resolution that give an evidence of dislocation.. should I use bright or dark field, what is the appropriate magnification should I fix in TEM figure for further Digital micrograph processing. thank you once again for sharing your thoughts here.

Dear Muhammed, first of all one should have a thin crystalline sample having few micro meter in thickness to work in TEM environment but you are talking MgO powder which probably has a particle size ''mean radius'' in the range of 15 nm as far as I remember from my XRD work using convolution analysis at Stanford in 1962. What is the length scale here?
Is this a HRTEM image or Moire fringes?
It is not easy to have an exact answer with a non-scale image.

Happy to read for you. To be honest with you. I have no experience to deal with this kind of analysis. It is TEM image, not a HRTEM one. the scale is not implemented. Therefore, If I want get more accurate TEM image in the future, that can be processed in Digital micrograph using FFT, IFFT to get an evidence of dislocation, What kind of setting should I use?, what is the wavelength?, Is it bright field or dark field?, Is TEM able to give a good result of dislocation?. I hope you can help and guide me to control the correct parameters that i have to use to get this kind of figure for MgO powder.
