A colleague asked me for any evidence-based approaches to helping kids (and parents) cope with a life-threatening disease, Duchene muscular dystrophy. The child doesn't know he is sick yet. Does anyone of any such resources? Thanks.
Awareness worksheets with some information and pictures for kids may help in educating them and their families on how to deal with this unfortunate situation. Coping strategies may also help reduce overall family stress and create a general calming effect.
