It implies that a currently running experiment based on the assumption of c-nonglobal is jeopardizing your child’s life. There is no counter publication for 9 years.

I always have a bad conscience making a big fuss about Einstein's early c-global, as opposed to his later, everywhere locally but no longer globally constant c.
The oldest view if returned to radically changes the space.time picture. For example, if a light ray down to a black hole's horizon takes infinitely long in outside time, and equally long on coming up again, this with the usual c-nonglobal is known to be compatible with a finite spatial distance down to the horizon.
With c-global returned-to, the spatial distance is equally infinite as the temporal one.
The consequences are staggering. Most surprising, perhaps, is the absence of cosmic expansion, since the latter implies super-c mutual recession velocities for sufficiently separate points on the growing balloon model.
