I'm using CEL method to simulate a pile penetration in sand. The pile is closed but hollow. I noticed that the EVF inside the pile started getting filled with sand at a certain depth. what would induce such a result in the simulation in your sens? How could it be prevented from happening? Also, have you specified eulerian section and eulerian surface for the sand? The related options are the following:

Hello George Papazafeiropoulos, Thank you for your answer. I used general contact and defined it to be all with itself. I also defined the eulerian section with the sand material properties. it's really strange to me. Have you encountered such a display in your results when using the CEL method before, please?

Hello Rabeb, physically, the fact of having soil penetrating into the pile is due to the fact that the pile is partially plugged (i.e. not fully plugged; cf. plugging phenomenon). The plugging (or not) phenomenon is influenced by many parameters such as the pile diameter, the pile jacking velocity, sand density, etc.
Notice that according to the zones of sand seen from your pictures, what you have obtained doesn't seem very rational and may be related to the contact between soil and pile. Are you sure that your pile is not getting deformed inside the soil?
