I'm working on my thesis, trying to estimate the population density using only capture-recapture data. This data was obtained by surveying the study area for almost three years nearly everyday.
I am confused on how to work with this though, as every single day has captures and recaptures, and don't really know how to limit an event from another one to use classic methods such as Lincoln-Peterson.
As such, I'd like some help working on how to precisely estimate this population size for two species, considering almost every day has either a capture or recapture.

The Mark-Recapture technique is used to estimate the size of a population where it is impractical to count every individual. The basic idea is that you capture a small number of individuals, put a harmless mark on them, and release them back into the population.
