Of late, we have been hearing of Epigenetics as a major determiner of traits being expressed. If this is beyond genetic control, or if it is, then how does it differ from regular genes being expressed? How is it heritable? For how many generations? Is it a LEARNED phenomenon by the internal environment of the plant/animal? How can we breed for such traits if proven to be controlled MORE BY EPIGENETICS?

People have started looking for epigenetic marks and there is literature build up. Any solid case studies which have proven this in plants? Please share.
