I am using liquid enzymes (lipase) for my biodiesel research but they are very hard to recover in order to improve the production cost. I am looking for an idea or recommendation from experts if there is a simple way to immobilize a liquid enzyme and what to use (materials etc). From literature, I know that immobilized enzymes can be recovered and regenerated using varies strategies, which would be really helpful for the budget of my biodiesel research.

There are so many matrices used for immobilization process. Try Agar-agar, Gelatin, Polyacrylamide, poly urethane foam etc.

Yes Mr. Muri Yanto....litterature on immobilization using Ca alginate is abundant....Just write in google " calcium alginate immobilization procedure"..you will get thousands of detailed articles....The key is how to optimize the mixture composition (enzyme/alginate ratio, calcium chloride concentration) and immobilization parameters(stirring, temperature....) in order to obtain beads with high prosity , chemical and mechanical stability.....
thanks mr Mahmoud Abouseoud, can i ask more detail, in my research, i want to reuse the enzyme, so one of the alternative way is using immobilization enzymes, but the problem is my substrate is solid, not liquid, but after the reaction the subtrat become liquid, so can i still use the immobilization enzyme in calcium alginate?
This is another story dear Muri...Can you dissolve your substrate in aqueous phase or an organic solvent?...Could you give me more details on the reaction?
