Hi
Please, could anyone give me the entropy generation equation for turbulent flow forced heat transfer, 3D, and steady state.
thanks
This should able to satisfy the answer:
I hope :-)
You can find this in:
Compressible Fluid Dynamics (Advanced engineering series)
P.A. Thompson
See also the discussion of the energy equation in:
Transport Phenomena
R. Byron Bird and Warren E. Stewart
thanks a lot.
Ashish Kotwal ,, I need Entropy Generation Equation no momentum, energy, and continuity equations.
The book of Thompson is focusing on all equations including the entropy equation.
The book of Bird is discussing a lot of different forms of the energy equation, which can help understanding the discussion of Thompson.
thanks a lot for everyone
Maybe these books could help you:
/1/ Thermal Design and Optimization
Adrian Bejan, Michael J. Moran
John Wiley & Sons, 1996 - 542 páginas
/2/ Entrophy Generation Through Heat and Fluid Flow - Adrian Bejan
I don't have them with me right now, but, as far as I remember, the equation you're looking for is there (or, at least, you can develop yours).
very thanks
What about taking the Reynolds Average of the Clausius-Duhem inequality? This should give you any insights. What are you trying to accomplish actually? Verifying thermodynamics constraints for a new turbulence model?
Good luck!

Hi,
the following articles could help you:
'' What Exactly is the Nusselt Number in Convective Heat Transfer Problems and are There Alternatives? ''
and:
'' Energy, Entropy and Exergy Concepts and Their Roles in Thermal Engineering ''
In mentioned articles, both heat transfer and entropy concepts have been presented.
Also, you can download the attachments.
