Spectral indicators for analyzing cloud cover visuals ?

Is it possible to process clouds and raw satellite cloud cover data from the moon to monitor temperature, humidity, and some elements or suspended materials in the atmosphere? Are there interested in this aspect in classifying and spectral digital raw data for clouds and atmosphere?
