I am trying to calculate energy level of HOMO and LUMO for synthesized material by Cyclic Voltammetry . But, the problem is that; the energy band gap calculated for HOMO and LUMO is higher than the band gap of same material calculated by UV/Vis spectroscopy using tauc plot. I have used three electrode system; WE glassy carbon, reference electrode Ag/AgCl , counter electrode Pt wire. I have performed the experiment for three time.

What reason can be behind this difference??

Is binder effecting the properties of material?? then how can be cyclic vlotammetry performed of a powder without binder??
