I want to write on electronic voting system in Pakistan. Is it possible to implement ELECTRONIC VOTING SYSTEM IN Pakistan as soon as possible in this political circumstances?
The Electronic Voting system is as good as the people who are using them, recently in India, we have seen there has been a debate on the use of EVM as the party in power is winning with huge margins consistently, so I suggest instead of implementing EVS to strengthen the democracy there is a need to raise awareness among the voters for their voting rights and the power of their vote.
In India, we have an Association of democratic reform that analysis the records of candidates, their assets, criminal cases on them, and their educational background and publishes them on their website which helps the voter to vote for the right candidate.
Similarly in America, they have Vote Smart which does the same work. So, EVS is good but people who are using them are required to be made aware of the candidate who they are voting for to create a strong democratic society.

I think that in the conditions of political turbulence, changes in the way of voting will have a bad effect on confidence in the elections.
