I was going through different ways to calculate insulin resistance, I came across the eGDR equation. It is a very good and easy reliable way to calculate insulin resistance. But, I am confused a little about how to decide the threshold for a population. also, I came across various studies where a modified version of eGDR was used, how do authors decide that they might need modified version of eGDR?

We saw in 7448 human beings with type-1-diabetes with normalised metabolism a range of 0.04 to 3.3 IU per kg body weight as daily insulin demand as a Poisson skew distribution. As daily insulin demand correlates with insulin resistance, you can conclude, that insuölin bresistance has no sharp cut to "normality". Dependence on further conditions: the more resistance the more likely to develop earlier metabolic syndrom or type-2-diabetes in lifespan. This is also the base for double diabetes.
