Hi,

My study is about to investigate how different types of games impact on math learning. Based on my reviewed articles, I am calculating the effect size of math achievement related learning outcomes. My question is that can I focus only on calculating experimental groups' effect sizes? Do you think is it appropriate to use Cohen's d or Hedge's g formula in such situation; but, I would like to highlight that I am not interested in focusing on control group's scores. I need to consider control group's mean and SDs values in above effect size formulas (Cohens D, Hedges' g as well as Pre Post Test Controlled Group Design formulas)? Is there another alternative way to calculate only experimental groups' effectiveness?

Thank you very much in advance.
