Letter of Invitation
From A. R. Karbassi,
Dear Professors
I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. I am writing to extend an invitation on behalf of Journal of "Futurology & Sustainable Development" a prestigious academic journal in the field of future studies. Futures studies are defined as a systematic methodical study of possible, probable and preferable "futures". This type of study aims to identify probable futures from among the tens of thousands of possible futures and select the preferable one from among them to build towards it. Accordingly, futures studies have two theoretical and practical branches. Its theoretical branch focuses mainly on theoretical studies about the futures, whereas its practical branch, known as "foresight", attempts to build the future by relying on theoretical findings. In the theoretical branch, futures researchers attempt to provide theoretical explanations of the futures and their effective factors, whereas in the practical one, they focus on developing strategies, policies, roadmaps, visions and scenarios to influence the future and build a preferable one.
We aim to promote and disseminate noteworthy research contributions, foster innovation, and facilitate scholarly discussions within our discipline.
