Hello,

I am currently trying to evaluate several thermoset epoxy adhesive samples of the same material (see attached data sheet) using a DSC analysis. The goal is to tell wether some samples have hardened more than others, as they are not of the same batch. I tried to use the glass transition temperature (Tg) as an indicator, as usually a higher Tg means, that the adhesive has hardened more completely. However, I find it difficult to pinpoint a Tg, as the curve is rather not distinct, as can be seen in the pictures. Here are informations about the DSC analysis itself: the tempereture was raised from 35°C to 200°C with a speed of 10K/min. I did two runs in order to see if the curve had changed. The Tg should be somewhere at around 100°C.

So the question is, how do I either determine the Tg correctly or how else can I evaluate the curve properly in comparison to other curves of the same kind?

Thanks a lot in advance!

PS: in the two pictures, the black curve is run 1 and the red one run 2. I did two different determinations of Tg, as to showcase that it is not distinct. NOTE: the two pictures contain the same curve, only the determination of Tg was done differently
