Hello,
I am looking for a method to dry jellyfish or collagen from jellyfish to powder, so it can be dissolved and regain a jelly-like consistency when rehydrated with water. I already tried drying it in at 40°C the oven, at room temperature with ethanol as well as freeze-drying, but the final products seemed to be insoluble in water.
I wonder if someone has experience with (freeze)-drying of a similar product? Would you recommend using lyoprotectants to keep the water-binding capacity of the collagen?
Thank you for your help!
