Though the scope of WoS and PubMed are different, but often it stated that Web of Science covers all journals which fall under PubMed. I am interested to know your comment on this.
Web of Science and PudMed database differ from each other. Most of the journals indexed in PubMed would also be Indexed in Web of Science but not all the journals. It is like vice versa some of the journals indexed in Web of Science may not be indexed in PubMed. I would like to know in which context you are asking this question.
Generally if the journal is indexed in both considered to be a old and good journal. Journal metrics are important according to the Journal Citation Report to decide the quality of a journal irrespective of the database they are indexed. Hoping i have answered your question. Anil Sharma
Thank you for your prompt response. I completely agree with you about their difference and nicely you mentioned about JCR briefing.
Let me put my question in a more technical way that: PubMed covers NLM and MEDLINE with NIH whereas WoS also covers MEDLINE at large with some other database, So the difference is fall only NLM covers publications?
Second about Citation, both WoS and PubMed follow different styles of citation, isn't?
