I would like to undertake the research study on Role of HRIS (HR Technology) on HR Transformation. I am wondering that is the topic selected is relevant ? Question is mainly due to the fact that I have come across arguments of ocean of work happened in this area while I have found that still it is a new area which is less explored.
Looking forward for right suggestions.
I think any study referred to human resource information system or human resource management system is very relevant currently, because the technology is a factor of efficiency and effectiveness in the industrial process, and HRM is a very important process in the organization, currently there many aspect whereby are necessary the relations between the HRM and the Information Systems, for example: to selecting a correct employee, managing people of different cultures, online training, to managing virtual teams, for discern relevant information, and other aspects.
If conduct this study, the implication will be Technology in transformation of HR System in the world. if the title is limited to few organisation (elsewhere) will provide you with better scope.
The Study on the Role of HRIS on HR Transformation is very much Relevant as total management and HRM is also changing with change in technology. Effective HRIS shall make HRM efficient and effective. You can check my papers on RG, may be helpful.

Your focus of study is very relevant, especially to maintain the continuous training and development to keep employees up to date using technology in their jobs. Employees can't afford to fall behind in the daily use of their IT skills because if they do, it poses a very serious threat to the organization's competitive business advantage. And this is futher verified as we see the impact of global competition that business organizations must currently face face every single day. And then add on to this need, all of the many hacking crisis situations taking place today. This further confirms this need for continuous training of employees which demands that HR & IT must work together more closely than ever.
Technology and HRIS are enablers for Human Transformation. Should be use the term Human Resource or Human Response is another question. What are the objectives of the proposed study is more important question to be discussed.
