Ya, temperature plays a important role in solar cell. The solar cell produces maximum efficiency only when its at lower temperature.. With increase in temperature the efficiency drops, with the drop in maximum power produced..

yes , the solar energy can not convert electricity in PV panel. The conversion efficiency of solar PV panel only 46% remaining solar energy is absorbed in the form heat in the PV panel. Due to this reason the temperature is increases and reduce the efficiency/ voltage in the PV panel.
