I wonder if in an SDN enabled network , the switches contain a wide topology flows tables or there are different forms of managing flow tables? if the second possibility is available please point me to reading materials to know more about how flow tabes are managed in SDN enabled Switches.

flows in these tables have exp time. If a flow is not used it will be deleted. so these flows will not be massive as you think. The exp time can be configured. I hope this is what you are asking

I would like to know in the first time of installing flow rules , for getting the network ready , does all flow rules (global data) got installed into the switches ?
In SDN, flow tables (that maintain all the information related to packet flow) comes under OpenFlow protocol which are used by OpenFlow Switches for communication between the devices in the network.
