Does the structural similarity of certain pigments across kingdoms
allow bacteria to modulate host cellular functions or engage in
molecular mimicry?
Do these properties have important implication
for human diseases?
Perhaps quite possible that these conserved domains of PIGMENT might have similarity with host proteins. Molecular mimicry does play role on modulation of cellular functions.
I am on the lookout for the Enhanced Yellow Fluorescent Protein (Aequorea victoria) DNA sequence. Does anyone know where I can find it? Thank you in advance
