Does someone try to simulate rough layer in FDTD? I'm simulating the LED devices and trying to put some roughness on top of the devices (as typical is done in real devices). To check if my layer is rough enough, I'm going to examine the far-field radiation pattern. In principle for roughness material radiation should obey cosine law (lambertian pattern). That the idea.
